Picture this: your company prides themselves on being “the best of the best” in face to face training. A pandemic hits. Everyone needs to work from home. A switch to virtual training design and delivery is a must, while maintaining high standards.
Sound familiar? When COVID-19 hit, the world as we knew it changed and companies, organisations and face to face trainers were up against challenges that forced them to adapt quickly.
Discovery Bank, working in international financial services, is one such company. They needed to upskill their already highly qualified, in-house L&D team made up of trainers and instructional designers. They have worked hard to ensure the superb quality of their face-to-face training and when COVID-19 hit, this needed to be converted to virtual delivery quickly whilst maintaining the same high standards.
Describing themselves as “particular” as well as “tough customers”, and having looked at a number of providers, they took up The Virtual Training Team’s offer of a demonstration session. This helped convince them to partner with us to undertake this project. The final challenge we were set was to achieve completion of the Programme to a strict deadline.
Pre-pandemic, their face-to-face training was very practical with lots of group work, so they were looking for the very best way to move this into the virtual environment, whilst maintaining and improving learning transfer.

Our coach was absolutely fantastic. She demonstrated everything and presented the content perfectly. We were always involved and the training truly felt like it was all about us. The easy step-by-step processes are extremely useful and easy to implement.
This experience exceeded all my expectations. I feel so much more comfortable facilitating on the virtual platform. The wealth of knowledge I learned will really make me that much better at my job. Thank you.
A must for facilitators in today's world of work.
